Managed to get the rest of the Grenadier company done , the drummer should have a mitre cap but it was going to be to hard to convert him so he is as he is !.
I also got done a couple of higher command for my Saxon Leibgrenadiergard battalion , who seem to be having an difference of opinion over which way to advance?.
All very attractive figures! I really like your painting style, which seems to combine the best of flats painting methods with a little Gilder/Doug Mason and a hint of toy soldier style. It makes for an extremely nice appearance.

P.S.
Can't wait to see the completed unit of Saxons as these are becoming a major interest of mine.
I have to cast up another company (15 figures) to complete the Saxons but hopefully it will not be to long before they are complete . The problem with painting 40mm is that it makes 28mm figures seem sooo small !.
Deletefine looking fellows

Indeed, the 40mm scale is seducing - my impression of the 28mm figures is the same as yours - small and tiny.. Great unit, looking impressive. I thought in the first moment, it is the Irish regiment in French service - but it isn´t? Saxons are also my favorites, so I share my impatience with Stokes to see your Leibgrenadiere..

It is the British 18th Regiment 'The Royal Irish' , I have got the remaining figures for the Saxons cast up today and hope to start painting them next week , Tony
DeleteThanks, Tony! The British army was, indeed, beautifully coloured. Good success with the Saxons!
