We have been away on holiday staying in a static caravan in Galloway Scotland and I thought I would take some figures to paint in a idle moment . I have considered this before when we have been camping , but under canvas it would not be conducive to painting toy soldiers- the problems with light , damp and the general English summer has always made me chicken out .
But this holiday was to be in a static caravan (a first for us - very impressive and luxurious compared to the sometimes squalor of tenting) so I prepared some 42mm figures and my new paint pot tray (making sure to take the required colours !) a couple of paint brushes and my water pot. The result was that I managed to get 10 figures done in the week .Very pleased with this endeavour , I must try it again on our next holiday .
A bold move that paid off. I am always terrified I will somehow squirt paint over the caravan upholstery (or the kids will).
ReplyDeleteI was aware of this problem - or rather my wife was and pointed it out repeatedly !
DeletePainting while camping - truly you are the iron gamer, Sir.
